...this magical sock! Never been worn nor do I know where it came from! It’s a mystery sock! Possibly from the future. One of a kind! Rumored to have an evil twin. Keep away from children and small pets. External use only. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
As I mentioned before, I signed up for DSL on August 4th and Mr. Telecom has yet to arrive, so post your best guess on what day they get here to hook up my DSL and I will update this post with your guesses. If you guess closest without going over, you will win and soon have this fine magical futuristic miracle-performing sock delivered to your home!

Ack! A Dec 5th arrival would hurt me a little bit inside my soul. The only date worse would be Dec 6th.
That may be my sock, if so, alert local authorities of imminent biohazard and seek medical attention post haste.

Hmm I’ll say the first working day after 28 days so that’d be tomorrow – 3rd September. They’ll then say they managed it within 28 days ;)
Perhaps they misspoke the word ‘day’ for ‘week’ and they meant 28 weeks: February 25th, 2008.
