Good to see that politicians are smarmy the world ’round, and not just limited to any geographical area. I saw this news report from Austin today about how Texas legislators vote in the House.
I also learned that Italian politicians do the same thing, except here they have a name: “pianists.”

Everybody wants to imitate the Italian style!
You will be surprised how many other bad things you always deemed as typically Italian just happen all over the world. When us Italians watch an American movie and hear somebody in the board of directors of a company say “we have that senator” we probably all assume the plot has been italianized while dubbing

Oh wow, I don’t even think I could make a joke about this. This is serious stuff, and it makes me feel bad for our country.
